A.T.D.R. Philosophy
Our students are taught to become partners with their equine counterpart
through a four step plan called A.T.D.R. - "Ask, Tell, Demand,
Reconsider." This comprehensive and proven system enables riders to
develop respect for their mounts by first asking their horse to follow a
command or cue. If the horse refuses then we tell the horse that we are
serious and if the horse still isn't convinced we demand that they hear us.
If you don't achieve the desired response, it's time to reconsider our
method of asking and the strategy we are using to ensure that trust in
ourselves and in our horses is never compromised.
